Chertsey is situated with in the M25 ring around the London area. It has got a small number of nice pubs, a combined book café shop. There is a good sport centre (Riverbourne leisure centre) and access to Thames cycle path. Woking (5 miles southeast) provides local theatre and large cinema facilities, leisure centre and other animations.

Within a 10 mile range there are a number of sports club found including horse riding in the rural area around Chertsey, rowing, canoeing, cycling and triathlon clubs. There are good rail/bus links to international airport. Locally there are 3 train stations giving quick access to London (Virginia water, Chertsey, Woking).

Within easy reach of London, as well as the smaller towns of Weybridge, Woking, and Virginia Water, the local area has excellent independent and state schools. Leafy Surrey offers a rounded life outside of work, and as an ambitious Trust, Ashford and St. Peter's offers opportunities for individuals to try new things and to gain exposure, and a supportive and welcoming team in which to do this.
